ChapterFour. Chapter Four. The Mahdi: Islam's Awaited Messiah. Among the Major Signs, the most anticipated and central sign that Muslims are awaiting is the coming of a man known as, "The Mahdi.". In Arabic, al-Mahdi means, "The Guided One" 1 He is also sometimes referred to by Shi'a Muslims as Sahib Al-Zaman or Al-Mahdi al Thename of Sayyiduna Imam Mahdi رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ will be Muhammad and his father's name will be Abdullah, as it has been indicated in the blessed Hadees. He will be the king of all Arabs and non-Arabs. This blessed Hadees clearly states that Imam Mahdi has not been born yet, but rather he will be born. Moreover, his MuhammadAmin Baghdadi in the book entitled: Saba'ik al - dhahab writes: "Muhammad, who is also known as Mahdi, was five years old at the time of his father's death." Saba'ik al-dhahab, p.78. Sha'rani writes: "Mahdi is the son of Imam Hasan Askari. He was born on the fifteenth night of Sha'ban, 255 AH. 1The emergence of the Mahdi will be one of the last minor signs of the Hour. 2- Many people claimed that the Mahdi has emerged or will emerge to support their personal aims and misguided beliefs, such as the Qadianis (Ahmadis), Baha'is, Shi'ah and other deviant groups. This has led some later scholars to reject the ahaadeeth which speak of TheShias believe that the last and final Imam is protected by God and is in occultation or hiding to return toward the end of times to guide humanity back to the prophetic way. In the meantime, Shia religious scholars have a hierarchy of authority to guide the community with the Grand Ayatollah (lit. "Major Sign of God") holding the most Thesame reason it's rational to believe in Allah جل جلاله when He cannot be seen or heard or touched. It is common for Allah to send an unseen representative.
